Kayak and SUP rental at KAYAKOMAT Gamlestan
Rent SUP and kayak in Gamlestan. Kayaking is a very peaceful and fun activity, best enjoyed together with friends, colleagues and family. Beginners can here comfortably try both SUP and kayaking, while still being close to shore. For those of you who are more comfortable kayakers you could paddle all the way to Gothenburg City with the Operahouse or for a lunch at Lilla-Bommen, or all the way out to the ocean! The other option is to explore the beautiful north path leading all the way up to Swedens largest lake Vänern!
Kayaking or using a SUP is a great alternative to being able to explore our great nature and from the water view you will be able to access places that you would not be able to from hiking och biking.
Through KAYAKOMAT self-service rental you can easily access kayaks and SUPs any time of the day at your convenience. Experience Gamlestan with it´s sorroundings from a new perspective!
Local tips for paddling at Gamlestan
- Start along the shores and choose the downs stream direction (south) to arrive in Gothenburg City.
- You can also follow the north path upstream, the current is not strong during summer and you can explore a beautiful scenery with bridges and cozy vegetation.
- For a longer tour; You could go south all the way out to the ocean or north all the way up to the great lake of Vänern!

On the day of your booking, you will receive a code via email and SMS. Arrive at your KAYAKOMAT and unlock your gear. Inside you’ll find everything you need: PFD, paddles and sprayskirts. If it’s your first time out on the water, make sure you double check our safety tips.
TIME TO PADDLE!
Now you’re ready to go! Enjoy your time out on the water, and be sure to tag us @kayakomat on social media. When your rental time is finished, return your equipment, check that everything is clean and lock it back up.
