Rent SUP and kayak in Malmö. Kayaking and Stand up Paddling (SUP) are very peaceful and fun activities, best enjoyed together with friends and family. Beginners here in Mamö may comfortably try both SUP and kayaking, while still being close to shore. For those of you who are more experienced kayakers you will have an unlimited option to explore everything from Malmö´s city channels (Note, there are locks) to an extraordinary coastline. Through KAYAKOMAT self-service rental you can easily access kayaks and SUPs any time of the day at your convenience. Experience Malmö from a new perspective!
Local tips for paddling in Malmö
- Start your journey past the houseboats and out to the ocean, here you have the option to go left towards the big bridge and pass the nice beach area with the many piers bath houses along the coast.
- You may also go to the right and paddle north along the boardwalk with its many cafés, restaurants and bathing visitors. Out here in the ocean you will have a full view of the Öresundbridge, Copenhagen and Turning Torso!
- For a city experience; we recommend you to take the first turn to your left and experience the channel and Malmös city center from the water.
Good to know at KAYAKOMAT Malmö
- Parking is available 30 meters from the kayakomat.
- Please observe there are locks in Malmö channel which means that you have to lift the kayak/SUP.
- Toilets are available by the beach. So are also a large variety of cafés, restaurants and beaches.

On the day of your booking, you will receive a code via email and SMS. Arrive at your KAYAKOMAT and unlock your gear. Inside you’ll find everything you need: PFD, paddles and sprayskirts. If it’s your first time out on the water, make sure you double check our safety tips.
