The nearby islands offer great opportunities for picnic, camping and swimming in lake Vänern in the middle of Swedish nature. Paddlers with more experience might on a calm day make a longer trip to one of the more distant islands in Kristinehamn archipelago. - Parking is available nearby the Kayakomat at Kapurja or at any other of the free of charge parking spots in the area.
- Restrooms are located at the corner of the nearest building by the water just north of where the Kayakomat is located.
- Bus 65 from the center of Kristinehamn towards the Picasso sculpture stops at Kapurja, next to the Kayakomat.
